WireGuard / Outline VPN VPS — No KYC, Crypto
Self-host WireGuard, Outline, OpenVPN or Shadowsocks on a no-KYC VPS. Iceland and Amsterdam. Nano $3. We rent the IP; you run the daemon.

Order a VPS with Bitcoin or USDT, install WireGuard from the official quick start or Outline from Jigsaw, and keep keys on the box. BitCloudVPS does not sell a VPN app.
What people actually run
Commercial VPNs publish the same protocol you can run yourself. Mullvad: WireGuard documents WireGuard as their default tunnel. Proton VPN: WireGuard configs shows how Proton VPN exports WireGuard configs. IVPN: WireGuard on Linux is the Linux path at IVPN. Those companies sell a client and a fleet. If you want to buy a VPS with crypto, skip KYC, and keep the private key on a box you control, you install WireGuard official site or Outline (Jigsaw) on BitCloudVPS instead of renting their app.
Tailscale install is a overlay mesh on WireGuard; Headscale is the self-hosted control plane. Outline (Jigsaw) is the five-minute installer. OpenVPN still works if you already have a playbook. We do not operate the VPN.
Business $24/mo (6 vCPU / 16 GB DDR5) is the production size. Crypto invoice, no KYC.

Playbook
- Buy a VPS with Bitcoin or USDT. No passport. Email and a 12-character password.
- Install from WireGuard quick start or Outline (Jigsaw). Open the UDP/TCP port you chose.
- Amsterdam for EU latency. Iceland if jurisdiction is the product.
Limits
A VPN is allowed. Scanning, spam and attacks through it are not. We rent root; we do not sell Mullvad, Proton or IVPN.
One VPS, whole protocol: what self-hosting WireGuard actually buys
A commercial VPN subscription rents you a slot on someone else's fleet; a $8.50 Starter rents you the whole machine. WireGuard is a hundreds-of-lines kernel protocol — the same one Mullvad and IVPN publish as their default tunnel — and on your own VPS the keys stay on hardware you control, logs are whatever you decide they are, and the port is whatever you pick (51820 by default, open on every plan). Sizing is almost embarrassing: a personal WireGuard endpoint idles near zero CPU, so Nano at $3/mo effective is a real answer, Starter adds headroom for family and friends. Outline gives a five-minute managed-feel installer for teams without app stores. Where to pin: Amsterdam's AMS-IX for EU clients, Dallas for US, Singapore's SGIX for Southeast Asia — 21 locations, same list price, so choose by RTT alone. Deploy in 60 seconds
The honest limits of a one-box VPN
Self-hosting trades a subscription's conveniences for responsibilities, and naming them is cheaper than discovering them: one IP means one exit — streaming catalogs and rate-limit-happy services see a datacenter IP, not a rotating pool; upkeep is yours — kernel and WireGuard updates, key rotation, firewall discipline; and the AUP binds the tunnel like everything else — a VPN is allowed, scanning, spam and attacks through it are not. If jurisdiction is the product, Reykjavik (no mandatory retention, 100% geothermal) or Zurich (Swiss FADP, non-EU) are deliberate picks rather than defaults; if latency is the product, pick the pin nearest your users. Payment closes the loop: 19 crypto assets, no KYC, token-only signup without an email, quarter -10% and year -20% — a year of personal VPN on Nano costs $36 flat, which is the number to hold against any subscription pitch. Open checkout — no email needed
Where the limits are (October 2026)
Keep the threat model precise. Anonymous-adjacent hosting removes the host-side identity trail: token-only signup, optional email, no KYC review, crypto invoices that record a txid rather than a name. It does not blind the host to traffic it must carry, it does not make a logged-in panel session anonymous, and it does not protect workloads that identify themselves — an admin login from your home IP defeats the whole design. Exact limits of no-KYC anonymity. OPSEC guide. Full checklist. Payment-side note: chain analysis happens on public blockchains, not at the host. Coin choice and network choice are your OPSEC knobs, and the checkout keeps 19 of them open.
Port 51820?
Open. You pick the port.
KYC to run a VPN?
No. Buy a no-KYC VPS with crypto and install the daemon.
Do you sell a VPN subscription?
No. You buy a VPS or dedicated server. You run WireGuard.
WireGuard in Iceland?
Yes. Pick Reykjavik at checkout. Same SKU as Amsterdam.
Outline or Shadowsocks?
Allowed. You install them. Nested virt is on if you wrap the daemon in Docker.
Tailscale / Headscale?
Allowed. You run the control plane; we do not operate a mesh VPN.
Can I pay for a Zurich VPS with Monero without ID?
Yes. Pick Zurich at checkout, pay the invoice in XMR from 19 supported assets, and sign up with a token — no ID, no phone, email optional. The Nano annual price is a flat $36 ($3/mo effective) and the plan sheet is identical to every other location.
Is a $3/mo Nano plan really enough for a personal VPN?
For one person's WireGuard endpoint, yes — the protocol idles near zero CPU and 2 GB of ECC RAM is more than the daemon needs. Add Outline for a team, a media server or heavy multi-device use, and Starter ($8.50) becomes the honest floor.
Which protocol do commercial VPNs run that I can also self-host?
WireGuard — it is the default tunnel documented by Mullvad and the format Proton VPN and IVPN export configs in. Install it from wireguard.com on your own VPS, pay in crypto, skip KYC, and keep the private key on a box you control instead of trusting a provider's fleet.
What does the host actually know about me?
Whatever you hand over: a signup token, an optional email address, the invoice you paid and the service traffic. No ID documents, no phone number, no KYC step exists to hand anything else over.
What won't an anonymous VPS protect against?
Self-inflicted links: personal logins from a home IP, leaked cookies, services that publish your address, and on-chain patterns that tie wallets together. The server removes one identifier; it does not fix operational mistakes.
