KYC and AML — What They Require and What This Host Does

What they are
KYC (Know Your Customer) is the identity-collection duty regulators place on regulated businesses — exchanges, card processors, banks. AML (Anti-Money-Laundering) is the surrounding regime: monitoring, reporting, sanctions screening. They attach to the regulated entities in a payment chain, which is why a KYC exchange collects your passport while a no-KYC host never needs to.
Business $24/mo (6 vCPU / 16 GB DDR5) is the production size. Crypto invoice, no KYC.
Launch nowHow a no-KYC host fits
This checkout collects no identity: token or email signup, self-custodial crypto settlement (details). The AUP still binds — abuse is processed from local law enforcement of the facility jurisdiction, and the warrant canary exists. No-KYC is a statement about data collected at signup, not about rules applying (the honest limits).
Where KYC still reaches you
At the on-ramp: a KYC exchange's identity file is theirs, and the withdrawal to your invoice-paying address links that file to the transfer on-chain. On-ramp paths without that step, with trade-offs named: the honest map.
Where the limits are (October 2026)
Keep the threat model precise. Anonymous-adjacent hosting removes the host-side identity trail: token-only signup, optional email, no KYC review, crypto invoices that record a txid rather than a name. It does not blind the host to traffic it must carry, it does not make a logged-in panel session anonymous, and it does not protect workloads that identify themselves — an admin login from your home IP defeats the whole design. Exact limits of no-KYC anonymity. OPSEC guide. Full checklist. Payment-side note: chain analysis happens on public blockchains, not at the host. Coin choice and network choice are your OPSEC knobs, and the checkout keeps 19 of them open.
Is a no-KYC host breaking AML rules?
Hosting is not a regulated AML activity in the ways exchanges are; the host's obligations are its own jurisdiction's and its AUP. This is not legal advice — jurisdiction pages cover the specifics.
Does the host report me to anyone?
The policy pages answer this in full: abuse from law enforcement of the facility jurisdiction is processed; private requests and fishing expeditions are not.
Why do exchanges KYC if the chain is public?
Because regulators require the identity link that the chain itself lacks. That requirement is what no-KYC hosting is designed not to need.
What does the host actually know about me?
Whatever you hand over: a signup token, an optional email address, the invoice you paid and the service traffic. No ID documents, no phone number, no KYC step exists to hand anything else over.
What won't an anonymous VPS protect against?
Self-inflicted links: personal logins from a home IP, leaked cookies, services that publish your address, and on-chain patterns that tie wallets together. The server removes one identifier; it does not fix operational mistakes.
